After a windy night I headed south down to Curl Curl beach hoping for some decent waves. I wasn't disappointed but was nearly washed off the rocks. <br />
Surfing today was not for the faint-hearted.

The Photography part of Paintography

Paintography by Michael Critchley uses photography as a basis for his art. This section is the photography part of Paintography where the photograph is the art.

“The viewfinder is my canvas through which I photograph my compositions of shapes, pattern, light and spatial relationships.

As an Art Director I have always had to design or choose shots with enough blank space at the top, bottom, left or right to allow for a headline and/or an area of text. Awareness of edge margins and designing interesting areas within the limitations of fixed sized magazines or brochures has helped in the composition of my photographs.

I like to photograph anything and everything – it doesn’t really matter what the subject matter is.”
